Backup & Data Protection Setup in Ipswich & Suffolk
Protect important files with a sensible backup setup for your Windows computer.
I can help set up and configure appropriate backup protection for important documents, photos and business files, so you're not relying on a single copy of valuable data.
Backup & Data Protection Setup
Backup and data protection setup for a Windows PC or laptop.
- Home or small business
- Remote appointment
- Windows PCs and laptops
- No hourly billing
Don't Rely on a Single Copy of Important Files
A backup gives you another copy when something goes wrong.
Computer Failure
A failed drive or computer can leave important files inaccessible if they're only stored in one place.
Accidental Deletion
Files can be deleted, overwritten or changed accidentally. A suitable backup can provide another copy.
Lost or Damaged Computer
Important files shouldn't disappear simply because a laptop is lost, damaged or no longer usable.
Personal Files
Protect important documents, photographs and other files that would be difficult or impossible to replace.
Business Data
Help protect the everyday documents and files your small business depends on.
Existing Backup Check
If you already have some form of backup, I can review how it's configured and help identify obvious gaps.
What I'll Set Up
There's no point creating a complicated backup system that you don't understand or use.
We'll look at what you need to protect and set up a practical backup arrangement appropriate for your computer and important files.
Identify Important Data
Establish which files and folders need protection.
Review Current Setup
Check existing storage, OneDrive or backup arrangements where relevant.
Configure Backup
Configure the agreed backup method and appropriate folders.
Check Settings
Review the key settings used by the backup arrangement.
Test the Setup
Check that the configured backup is operating as expected.
Explain It Clearly
Explain what is protected and what you need to know afterwards.
The Right Backup Depends on What You Need to Protect
There isn't one backup setup that's right for everybody.
Depending on your needs, that might involve cloud storage such as OneDrive, an external storage device, or a combination of approaches.
Storage Costs
I can help configure a suitable cloud or local backup arrangement where it is appropriate for your needs.
Any required storage device or third-party subscription is separate from the £125 service charge.
Backup Setup Is Not Data Recovery
This service is designed to protect files that are currently accessible.
If important files have already been lost, deleted or become inaccessible because of a failed or damaged drive, specialist data recovery may be required and is not included in this service.
